ICPKP Course Path

Foundation course - PKP Level 1

Certificate in PKP Kinesiology - approximately 1 year.

Diploma course - PKP Level 2

Diploma in PKP Kinesiology - approximately 1-2 years further study.

The first step is to enrol for the Level 1 certification course,
and then continue with 1-2 years of further study.

Where to start


The ICPKP Professional Kinesiology Programs begin with a 12-unit Level 1 certification training, which includes Basic Kinesiology Principles.


Upon completing the Level 1 PKP certification program - the classes and exams of part 1 & 2 & the additional requirements of part 3, the student will receive an International Certificate in Professional Kinesiology Practice, issued by ICPKP.

A Level 1 graduate is qualified as a Level 1 kinesiology practitioner.

The graduate may continue to study further to obtain a Diploma in Professional Kinesiology Practice, issued by ICPKP.


Further professional study


Diploma in PKP Kinesiology


Upon finishing PKP Level 1, the student may choose to continue with PKP Level 2 - usually completed within 1-2 years of study

(16 units, Anatomy & Physiology part 2 & additional requirements) to obtain a Diploma in Professional Kinesiology Practice.

Short courses


 

1-day kinesiology course

Everyone can enrol and learn how to apply basic kinesiology healing techniques for self & family

After attending this course twice, the graduate can qualify to become a K-Power® EHC instructor. T&C apply.


2-day kinesiology course

This is an excellent opportunity to "Try the waters" before enrolling for a longer PKP program

Course path for Professional Kinesiology Certification


 

1.     ICPKP - International Certificate in Professional Kinesiology Practice

ICPKP includes:

  • ICPKP Part 1 & 2 - a 12-unit course (class attendance)
  • ICPKP Part 3 - home-study and off campus preparation.
- Anatomy & Physiology 1  - the ICPKP* home study course, or other course recognized by ICPKP*);
- First Aid Level 1 course approved by
ICPKP* (off campus);
- Mentored practice & experience: supervised student clinic experience - 50 hours;
- Clinical Practice client sessions, mentored - 75 hours
(off campus);
- Personal Kinesiology Sessions by
ICPKP* diploma graduate - minimum 5

Certification: International Certificate of Professional Kinesiology Practice issued by ICPKP*

Qualification: Certificated Kinesiologist

2.     IDPKP - International Diploma in Professional Kinesiology Practice

IDPKP includes:

  • ICPKP Parts 1, 2 & 3 - International Certificate in Professional Kinesiology Practice - see above
  • IDPKP Part 1 & 2 - advanced 16 PKP diploma units taken within 1-2 years 
  • IDPKP Part 3 - home-study and off campus preparation.
- Anatomy & Physiology 2 - the ICPKP* home study course, or other course recognized by ICPKP*;
- Mentored practice & experience: supervised student clinic experience - 50 hours;
- Clinical Practice client sessions, mentored - 75 hours (off campus);

About your teacher

Lazarina van Oostveen has over 25 years of experience in the field of holistic therapies. She is a faculty member of ICPKP (International College of Professional Kinesiology Practice), the principal of JKCHH (Johannesburg Kinesiology College of Holistic Healing) and a registered member of ASKSA (Association of Specialised Kinesiology of South Africa) and PKPASA (Professional Kinesiology Practice Association of South Africa).

1.        Kinesiolgy for Self-Care - BKP 101 - 2-day course

You will learn:

- how to address your personal issues and release self-limiting believes. Then set SMART positive goals and you may be surprised how your good intentions may actually come true.

- various kinesiology techniques for powerful energy meridian self-balance.

- simple emotional stress release and brain integration techniques.

2.        K-Power® Self-Care  - 1-day courses

- You will learn where you may be blocking your natural innate programs for health & healing, creativity, financial stability, inner peace, joy, and self-actualization. You will then learn to apply 5 basic Kinesiology  Epigenetic Healing Cycles to bring yourself back to balance.

- You can practice this simple method at home, you can teach your family and friends or apply it to them, and you can also choose to become a K-Power® EHC teacher and teach this method to other people. To qualify as an international K-Power® instructor, you simply need to attend this workshop twice and complete an assessment journal. T&C apply.

  3.        Kinesiolgy for Wellness - Go half way and receive an International Certificate in Wellness and Vitality issued by ICPKP

6 units: BKP 101-105 + RBT 201

This workshop includes BKP 101 and introduces students to the fundamentals of PKP kinesiology. Topics include the techniques of manual muscle testing, 5-Element theory and practice, Colour and Sound balance and the history and philosophy of kinesiology. This course consists of the first five units of the BKP course plus RBT 201.

Course fee

Pay per unit: R2500 per unit for 6 units

Certification: International Certificate in Kinesiology for Wellness issued by ICPKP.*

* Certificate fee - R250 per certificate is applicable for all short courses when the units are not taken as a part of the full 12 unit BKP program.

The certificates for the professional courses (ICPKP and IDPKP) are free of charge.


All students enrolled for the short BKP workshops may choose to apply to continue with more advanced kinesiology courses.
