Mindfulness Meditation Evenings

You are welcome to join us for a special meditation evening held by Leon Potgieter.

Everybody is welcome - bring friends!

·  Leon will teach a simple mindfulness technique that can be used in formal meditation as well as in everyday activities.

·  This will be followed by a 20-30 minutes meditation session.

·  A discussion or questions related to any difficulties experienced in trying to meditate will follow. Advice will be given while enjoying home-made chai tea.

During the 20 minutes meditation you can sit on the floor or on a chair. If you choose to sit on the floor (which we recommend) then bring a blanket to sit on and cushions to raise your seat off the floor. You should be raised high enough to sit comfortably with a straight back.

Venue: 5 Condon Rd, Blairgowrie, Randburg

Date: Monday, 25 June at 6.30 pm.

Suggested donation: R20

Meditation is the attempt to understand our reality and our place in it so that we can get the best out of our life. Mindfulness creates a buffer between ourselves and our thoughts and emotions. This leads to greater mental stability and happiness which acts as a foundation for gaining insight into the human condition.

Our intention is to have meditation evenings every Monday if there is enough interest. There will be a movie night too once a month on topics like healing and mindfulness.
